A charming town in the southern region of Andalusia, Cordoba is a real gem of multicultural heritage. Throughout the Arab domination of the Middle Ages, the city has been for three centuries the artistic and cultural center of the "Al-Andalus" empire, and was the capital of the western Caliphate. Islamic, Jewish and Catholic Civilizations have therefore left their marks in this astonishing Andalusian City. Its Mezquita, once the second largest mosque in the Muslim world, has been converted to a Christian church and it is now one of the major attractions of the city with its stunning giant arches and 1,000 + columns.
