Epoque Hotels Announces Partnership With Recently Opened Heritage Av. Libertade Hotel in Lisbon

A prefect example of urban design, the new Heritage Av. Libertade Hotel in Lisbon joins Epoque Hotels’ world wide collection of luxury design boutique hotels.
Miami Beach, FL, December 16, 2006 – A new jewel in the strongbox. Lisbon’s freshly launched Heritage Av. Libertade Hotel is now officially a member of Epoque Hotels’ ever-increasing assortment of luxury boutique hotels. Designed by acclaimed Portuguese architect Miguel Câncio Martins, the Heritage Av. Libertade Hotel seamlessly blends intimate and relaxing atmospheres with ultra-modern electric energy.
The Heritage Av. Libertade opened its gates in July 2006, right on Lisbon’s main boulevard – the Avenida Liberdade, which descends to the Rossio, the Praça do Commercio and the Tagus river, in the heart of the city. Câncio Martins, a true master decorator of nightclubs and bars, is an exceptional interior designer: his projects are present in all major cities worldwide, London, Paris, New York, you name it. With his hip new lounge style, Câncio Martins combines colors and sounds, creating just the right ambiance to favor interaction.
The Heritage Av. Libertade provides Lisbon with a new hotel that evokes Portuguese lifestyle in an accomplished mix of tradition and modernity. Right in the center of Lisbon, at the corner with Largo Anunciada, the 1770 building of the Heritage Av. Libertade is now a historical patrimony of the Lusitanian city. Inside the heavy wooden gates, all has been conceived with a functional standpoint, assigning public areas, reshaping the space with cutting-edge vision, yet allowing some original antique furniture and decoration to epitomize the legacy of the past.
