Hotel Greulich, Zurich
Boutique hotel in Zurich Greulich Hotel. Daring but subtle, meticulously designed with modern arrangements. The bright interiors and the clean forms and lines of Zurich 's Hotel Greulich invite you to linger. Soft touches of colour underscore calmness while emphasizing a human presence. Sunshine cascades from skylights, reflecting off painted walls. Screens of frosted glass separate bathing from sleeping areas, and grant the rooms a vista of borderless expanse interrupted only by the playful lighting design. The areas of the suites lie on two different elevations. Greulich's 10 rooms and 8 junior suites are situated across from each other in the quiet inner courtyard, sheltered by a new glass rooftop. The architects Romero & Schaefle refer to the past when they idealized this boutique hotel: a row of craftmen's workshops were previously located here. The edge of a birch grove leads guests to their rooms, where modern style reveals a well-considered design concept. This atmosphere is refected on the outside with the unique garden, designed by Günther Vogt.
