Churrut Hotel, Vera de Bidasoa
This old military building built in the 18th century was acquired by the Churrut family and restored as a hotel. The building has all the comforts without leaving aside that family house “touch” that characterizes it. Hotel Churrut has 17 rooms which are spacious and very well equipped. Some of the suites are even equipped with hydromassage bathtubs. The rooms are furnished with antiques and paintings that have been in the family for generations. There is also a sauna and bicycles for guests use. On top of that, there are 6 golf courses within a 30 km. radius and the range of activities in the region is many. The restaurant serves cuisine 'de autor' with french influence and offers the possibility of tasting a carefully made cookery. On the ground floor, there is the gallery, furnished with lovely rattan furniture and a glass wall that looks out on to the gardens on the exterior.
Location:
Hotel Churrut is located in Vera de Bidasoa, heading north of the Comunidad Foral de Navarra and near the frontier with France. 20 minutes to the Serge Blanco Thalassotherapy Center in Hendaya (France) and 30 mins to the La Perla Thalasso-sport Center (San Sebastian). - Vedi Mappa.

Vera de Bidasoa, Spagna
Vera de Bidasoa is located in Navarra, Spain. The region itself is situated in a privileged natural enclave and shares the estuary of its namesake with the French town of Hendaia, together forming Txingudi Bay. The river is a natural border between the two countries and forms part of a rich ecosystem which provides shelter for many species of migratory birds. In terms of gastronomy, wood pigeon and other game dishes stand out in the varied gastronomy of the valley, which includes the prized Bidasoa salmon, duck-based products, piperropiles (pepper cakes) and the canutillos (wafers with cream), a dessert from Sunbilla. The Bidasoa valley which lies in the Pyrenees provides a majestic scenery. The imposing escarpments of the massif of Larra, the great extension of the beech and spruce forest of the Selva de Irati, the depth of the Arbayún gorge, over flown by vultures, or the historical site of the Collegiate Church of Roncesvalles make for an unforgettable experience. Not far, modern facilities and urban attractions await the visitors. From golfing to Thalassotherapy spas or just take a day trip to nearby cities of San Sebastian, Fuenterrabia, Biarritz, Hendaia or Saint Jean De Luz.
