Hotel Altamont, Sydney

Special Prices

The building that is now the Altamont was modelled on the first Government House which was built on the site of the present Governor Phillip Tower in 1789. Renovated by award winning architect Furio Valich to provide luxury boutique style hotel accommodation the original Colonial Georgian mansion has been preserved where possible whilst giving the whole building a post modernist edge. The Hotel Altamont has been the discreet haunt of many well-known personalities and identities, including celebrities Madonna and The Rolling Stones, and is now available to the budget conscious traveller. The Altamont offers its guests an exclusive boutique hotel for the price of Sydney’s local hostels. Each room of the Altamont consists of a queen or king size bed and en-suite bathrooms, and offers all the modern amenities such as cable TV, air-conditioning, tea/coffee facilities and continental breakfast. The Altamont also offers in room Internet and WiFi connection in the lobby and a laundry service. Enjoy drinks in our lounge and Diamant bar or catch some sun on our Tuscan style rooftop garden.

Emplacement:

Hotel Altamont is located just minutes from Oxford Street and the city center, and with easy access to the harbour, beaches and airport. Modelled on the first Government House, the original building was built in 1830 and was one of a handful of private mansions constructed at that time on the Darlinghurst Ridge looking back toward the newly established town of Sydney. Within about 10 minutes walk you will find Potts Point, Oxford Street and Kings Cross Station, while the Town Hall, the Opera House, the Royal Botanic Garden, Woolloomooloo Bay and the Circular Quay are all approximately half an hour walk or 10 minutes drive. Sydney International Airport is about 22 minutes drive. - Voir Plan de situation.
