St Wolfgang, Österreich
St. Wolfgang ist eine der beliebtesten Städte Österreichs und befindet sich im Zentrum vieler berühmter Seen. St. Wolfgang ist ein gemütliches und historisches Dorf in einer wunderschönen Umgebung am Ufer des Wolfgangsees. Im Zentrum von St. Wolfgang gibt es eine spätgotische Wallfahrtskirche und alte Gebäude ebenso wie das bekannte "White Horse Inn“, das durch die gleichnamige Operette berühmt wurde. Auf einer Terrasse über den Wolfgangsee steht die spätgotische Wallfahrtskirche. Nach einem zerstörendem Feuer wurde die Kirche zwischen 1429 und 1477 wiederaufgebaut und 1683 im barocken Stil bemalt. Neben dem Turm sind drei Tore von der ursprünglichen Kirche erhalten geblieben. Musik ist sehr wichtig in St. Wolfgang. Das Dorf organisiert Klassik, Folklore, Opern sowie Konzerte und alle zwei Wochen findet Blasmusik auf dem Dorfplatz statt. Es ist kein Zufall, dass der Film "The Sound of Music" in der Nähe von Salzburg und Umgebung gedreht wurde! Die klaren Gewässer des Bergsees bieten eine großartige Basis für eine Wanderung durch die Berge. Neben vielen Möglichkeiten zum Entspannen kann man an zahlreichen Exkursionen teilnehmen, denn St. Wolfgang ist der ideale Ort für jedermann.
