A 17th-century muleteer’s house that once belonged to Don Francisco de Iturbe. It is considered a jewel of viceregal construction and the pride of America by experts of the New Spanish Architecture. It stands in the beautiful Vasco de Quiroga Square and it is decorated with works of art by artist from Michoacan and has a room with pictures depicting the history of the owners. The hotel has two restaurants, “Doña Paca” offering lacustrine food while La Peña, “El Viejo Gaucho”, offers a wide variety of wines and liqueurs and has live Andean music.
