Boutique Hotel de Cortes, Mexico City
Boutique Hotel de Cortes is one of the first hotels in the Americas, a jewel of Mexican baroque, converted into a modern boutique hotel. In the heart of remarkable Mexico City, history, design and luxury come together in this iconic house to offer the most exquisite sensations. The building was probably constructed at the beginning of the 17th Century and some years later the order of Saint Augustine converted it into one of the first hospices in the Americas, where the monks were housed before embarking on missions to spread Christianity in the Philippines. In 1780, as marked on the façade, the building was remodelled and became a hotel. Breathe in the colonial atmosphere of the great city of iron, plunge in the history and culture of that age, an oasis saturated with sensations…enjoy the elegance with which the most modern design blends with the famous Mexican baroque. Dining is an essential part of Boutique Hotel de Cortes and its restaurant 1620 offers an exquisite blend of Mexican and Spanish cuisines. The lounge bar El Cielo, situated in the attic with beautiful views of the Alameda is the perfect gathering point for chilling out.

Mexico City, Mexico
The sight of century old marvels, towering top-notch skyscrapers, and regal mansions acquaint each other to form this ever-traditional, yet ever-changing city. As the third-largest metropolis in the world it is the globe’s hot-spot for Latin food and culture. The clamor and glamour of the city includes skillfully choreographed street orchestras performed with recycled trash alongside the beauty of the floating gardens of Xochimilco. An experience of the city would not be complete without a visit to the Museo Nacional de AntropologÃa, where the Aztec Calendar Stone is held, and a shopping session at Zona Rosa.
