The Hotel Continental boasts a restaurant, a garage, a splendid view of the Port of Genoa and the famous Lanterna lighthouse. The hotel, which was completely renovated in 2002, is within walking distance of the city's main points of interest: the Palazzo Ducale, the Carlo Felice Theatre, the Universities, Palazzo Lauro and the Galata Sea Museum. A short taxi ride connects the hotel to the Genoa Exhibition, Brignole Station and Genoa's Cristoforo Colombo airport. The Continental Hotel has 44 rooms, all with a view of Principe Station and the Port of Genoa. The floors are in light-coloured parquet, furnishings are in precious wood, and all fabrics hark back to the typical shapes and colours of Italian Liberty style. A recent architectural renewal project has brought the original recesses of the window bays and the antique stuccoes in plaster back to the light of day. Some of the rooms feature characteristic “bow windows” with three panes that overlook one of the most famous squares of Genoa. The rooms at the Hotel Continental are fitted with every comfort: independent air conditioning, three telephone lines, satellite TV, internet access, wireless technology throughout the whole hotel, tea and coffee makers, safe and minibar. Rounding off the choice are the large Executive Rooms, all featuring jacuzzis and a large apartment with kitchen.
