The first reference to this country house goes back to the year 1098. Figueras 's Hotel Mas Falgarona was renovated with great skill by village craftsmen. Brigitta Schmidt and Severino Jallas set up an oasis of 11 comfortable rooms of affectionate silence, characterised by a Bauhaus-style design that gives guests the free space to be themselves. It is a pleasure to have breakfast in the morning in the garden by the swimming pool and, at night, enjoy dinner by candlelight, breathing the aromatic air of this region. The cuisine at this boutique hotel is outstanding for their Mediterranean simplicity, daily choice of fresh products and composition of the food. Severino is an expert on the wines and has rediscovered the wines of the Empordà for his guests. Thirty years experience in the management of top class hotels in Switzerland is gathered together.
