The Palacio del Bailio emerges as an inspiring balance between the past and the present: thus, nowadays its stables, coach houses, straw lofts, granaries, Roman remains, valuable original paintings and splendid garden represent a careful equilibrium between design, history, harmony, space and light. The Palace, mainly built between the XVI and XVIII centuries, was originally one of the large properties in the allotment of Cordoba after the Reconquest and was declared Bien de Interes Cultural (Well of Cultural Interest) in the Monument category in 1982.

A charming town in the southern region of Andalusia, Cordoba is a real gem of multicultural heritage. Throughout the Arab domination of the Middle Ages, the city has been for three centuries the artistic and cultural center of the "Al-Andalus" empire, and was the capital of the western Caliphate. Islamic, Jewish and Catholic Civilizations have therefore left their marks in this astonishing Andalusian City. Its Mezquita, once the second largest mosque in the Muslim world, has been converted to a Christian church and it is now one of the major attractions of the city with its stunning giant arches and 1,000 + columns.
