Casa Mariantonia Hotel, Capri
The Casa Mariantonia Residence, one of Anacapri's most elegant historic residences, has been recently restructured according to the classic style of the island. The estate is surrounded by an extensive garden of citrus trees and luxuriant Mediterranean flowers: Casa Mariantonia provides a true haven of tranquility. Built in 1800, and later enlarged, the property has been the preferred island quarters of many memorable visitors: from the writer Alberto Moravia to the prominent philosopher Jen Paul Sartre; from Elsa Morante to the unforgettable Prince Antonio De Curtis, better known as the actor Totò. Casa Mariantonia is the birthplace of the original Limoncello di Capri, the famous lemon spirit. The liqueur is still made to this very day, following the great island tradition, thanks to the Canale family who first registered the prestigious brand name. The hotel has a total of six delightfully furnished guestrooms with private bathroom, each carefully designed so as to guarantee the most peaceful and comfortable stay. Each guestroom at the Casa Mariantonia is unique and they all open out to a large private terrace overlooking sweetly scented gardens filled with the island's celebrated lemon trees. Casa Mariantonia has two suites, each named after one of the famous localities of Anacapri: Gradola and Punta Carena. The residence offers also Internet access via WI FI technology.

L’isola di Capri è considerata uno dei più bei gioielli del sud Italia e una delle più affascinanti e gettonate destinazioni turistiche del paese. Negli anni ’60 era luogo di ritrovo di celebrità e intellettuali. Capri dista 3 miglia dalla costa di Napoli, il suo paesaggio vanta ripide scogliere, bianche spiagge, splendide ville, uliveti, distese di alberi di limoni, stradine scoscese, terrazzi con giardini fiorati, e incantevoli viste sul mare. Tutto ciò si unisce a un delizioso clima mite. La meravigliosa costa di Capri, le cui scogliere si tuffano direttamente nel mare, è costellata da numerose grotte circondate da scogli le cui forme suggeriscono formazioni incredibili. Una delle attrazioni principali di Capri è la Grotta Azzurra, lunga 60 metri e con una cavità di 25 metri. I turisti possono raggiungere l’isola con gli aliscafi o i traghetti. Capri ha due cittadine principali: Capri sulla metà orientale, e Anacapri, in cima al monte che sovrasta l’isola. Una volta arrivati al porto, si può raggiungere il centro e la famosa Piazzetta (Piazza Umberto I) grazie al servizio tramviario. La piazza è un salotto all’aperto, affollato di giorno e di notte e pieno di tavolini, è il luogo ideale per lo shopping o per bere qualcosa. Una passeggiata in città vi farà apprezzare i meravigliosi giardini, le chiese storiche e le ville. Da Anacapri si potrà salire sul Monte Solaro, il punto più alto dell’isola, e apprezzare l’incantevole vista sulla Baia di Napoli e sul Monte Vesuvio.
