Casa Mariantonia Hotel, Capri
La résidence Casa Mariantonia, l’une des plus élégantes résidences historiques d’Anacapri, a été récemment restructurée pour s’accorder au style classique de l’île. La propriété est entourée d’un jardin d’arbres à agrumes et de fleurs méditerranéennes : la résidence Casa Mariantonia est un véritable havre de paix. Construite en 1800, et par la suite agrandie, la propriété a été le refuge préféré de l’île pour bon nombre de visiteurs célèbres : de l’écrivain Alberto Moravia au philosophe Jean-Paul Sartre, d’Elsa Morante à l’inoubliable Prince Antonio De Curtis, plus connu comme l’acteur Totò. La résidence Casa Mariantonia est le lieu de naissance du Limoncello di Capri, la fameuse liqueur au citron. Cette liqueur est toujours produite ici aujourd’hui, suivant la plus grande tradition de l’île, grâce à la famille Canale qui en a déposé le nom. L’hôtel possède 6 magnifiques chambres avec salles de bain privées, qui vous garantiront un séjour paisible et confortable. Chacune des chambres est unique, et elles s’ouvrent toutes sur de larges terrasses surplombant des jardins parfumés des fameux citronniers de l’île. La résidence Casa Mariantonia a deux suites, qui portent les noms de personnalités locales : Gradola et Punta Carena. La résidence propose un accès Internet gratuit par Wifi.

Capri, Italie
The island of Capri is often referred to as southern Italy's finest jewel and it is one of the loveliest and most popular tourist destinations in the country. It was one of Italy's hot spots for celebrities and intellectuals in the 1960's. Capri lies about three miles off the coast of Naples, boasting rocky cliffs, white beaches, charming villas, olive groves, fragrant lemon trees, narrow winding roads, garden terraces filled with flowers, and stunning views of the sea. And of course it enjoys an amazingly mild climate. The marvelous coastline of Capri, whose cliffs plunge right to the sea in many places, is spotted with innumerable caves, surrounded by reefs whose shapes suggest unbelievable formation. One of Capri's most famous attractions is the Grotta Azzurra, or Blue Cave, a 60-metre-long, 25-metre-wide cavity. Visitors may reach the island by hydrofoil or by ferry. Capri has two main towns: Capri Town, on the eastern half of the island and Anacapri, a steep climb uphill from Capri Town. Upon arrival at the dock, one can ride the tramway up to Capri Town with the famous Piazzetta (Piazza Umberto I) in the center of town. Essentially an outdoor lounge, packed day and night and filled with tables, it is an excellent place to shop or have a drink. A walk around town features superb garden terraces, historic churches, and villas. In Anacapri one may take a lift to Monte Solaro, the highest spot on the island, and enjoy an awe-inspiring view of the Bay of Naples and Mt. Vesuvius.
