Location:
The hotel is located at the mouth of the river Arade, between the cities of Portimão and Lagoa, in the Western Algarve. The river Arade was once an important highway for trade from the inland city of Silves past the fishing village of Portimo to the ocean. The little village of Mexilhoeira da Carregao close to the mouth of the river was then an important centre for processing and canning fish. Even today the village retains its character and charm, and it is here, on the river bank, that Boca do Rio Resort offers all the luxury and comfort of today whilst recognizing and respecting the traditions of the past. - View Location Map.
