Along the west coast of Mexico, between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo lies a very extraordinary place, a stretch of unspoiled bliss named Costalegre. With its stunning beaches, tropical rainforests, freshwater lagoons, exotic birds and wildlife, Costalegre has been appropriately nicknamed "The Mexican Riveria". This ecologically protected region is now a trendy tourist destination due to its spectacular beaches. Spanning 150 kilometers, Costalegre boasts a number of beautiful beaches such as Majahuas, Playa Perula, Chamela, Careyes, El Tecuan, Tenacatita, Boca de Iguanas, La Manzanilla, El Tamarindo, Cuastecomate, Melaque and Barra de Navidad. Miles upon miles of palm trees line the land just inside the coastal shores. Jungle covered mountains border golden sand beaches.
