Puigcerda, nel nord della Catalonia, è il capoluogo della regione Cerdanya. Protetta dai Pirenei, è un luogo incantevole da visitare in ogni momento dell’anno. Il paesaggio è meraviglioso e sempre verde, enfatizzando così il bellissimo lago, le cui acque riflettono i diversi toni dei colori. Degno di particolare nota è il municipio Puigcerda e la chiesa gotica di Sant Domenec con i suoi affreschi, il campanile della chiesa di Santa Maria (che è scomparsa) e Placa Major, un’affascinante piazza con portici che rappresenta il cuore pulsante della città. Vicino a Puigcerda si trovano numerose stazioni sciistiche e centri sportivi, tra cui La Molina, Masella e Nuria con il suo famoso santuario. Sono inoltre da visitare Camprodon, Setcases e Ribes de Freser, famosa per le sue acque minerali.
