Se você se pergunta porquê as cores da bandeira da Grécia são azul e branco, encontrará a resposta nessa maravilhosa ilha, que e' parte do grupo Egeo de ilhas chamadas Cyclades e que beiram Tinos, Syros, Naxos e Paros. A capital da ilha, Hora (chamada também de Chora ou Cidade de Mykonos) e' particularmente charmosa e e' considerada uma das mais belas das pequenas cidades de Cyclades. É representativa da arquitetura da ilha com sua casas brancas cúbicas de tetos planos, portas e janelas azuis, ruas estreitas e pavimentadas, varandas floridas e e uma atmosfera pitoresca e mágica.
