About Netherlands
Nowhere in this world is there a whole country with 10,000 miles of biking
routes available to the residents and tourists. So hop on a bike and
experience the Netherlands. Wooden shoes, bicycle rides, cheese, bulbfields,
and windmills are plentiful in this huge small country. Often regarded as
Holland, this European country is in fact a third of the Kingdom of the
Netherlands. This is a country rich in traditions. Windmills in Zaanse
Schans, probably the world’s first industrial site, are impressively
efficient wonders still intact today. If you’re lucky you’ll experience
Queen Beatrix' birthday on April 30. But if you’re not there on her
majesty’s celebration you will undoubtedly witness flower parades such as
the grand Bollenstreek. It would be a great understatement if it was said
that art has a great influence in this country. The many museums with
quality collections and revolutionary architecture provide an aesthetic
experience.
