It is off the east-west Highway-20. However, you can also go along the Côte-de-Liesse Highway-520 from Montreal. Upon arrival, you can hire a car very easily from Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz, National and Thrifty, with offices situated in the Arrivals area. Thanks to the excellent public transportation system, the airport is at easy reach from any point of the city by Taxi or by Bus. The shuttle Aérobus is very convenient. It operates between the airport and Montreal centre. This is a free shuttle between Montréal-Trudeau and Montréal-Mirabel airport for those you have connecting flights. There is also a free shuttle from the airport to some major hotels downtown. Public transportation: Montréal's public transportation system is great. Subway (one of the safest in the world), buses, trains allow visitors and inhabitants to reach major destinations. The best for tourists is to buy a 1 to 3 day passes. This will give you unlimited access to transportation on bus and tube. You can also buy individual tickets; however, if you need to use both transportations, you must ask a transfer the bus or tube station. Attention, transfers are valid only 90 minutes. |
