Before Ernest Hemingway immortalized Pamplona's running of the bulls in "The Sun Also Rises," the city was key intersection between France and Castilia. Pamplona, the capital of the Navarre province, symbolizes the region's diversity in its architecture, culture and cuisine, which mixes various traces of the Visigoths, Franks and Moors, who passed through the city. At any rate Pamplona is famous for the July Festival of St. Fermin, the running of the bulls which attracted Hemingway and still attracts adventure-seekers from all over the world. Even if you go to Pamplona at another time of year, the city still offers plenty entertainment, like the History Museum Museo de Navarra and the Gothic Cathedral.
